(They will even cut through soft aerated brick BUT the life of the tips will be dramatically reduced, we suggest using a Diamond Dry Core for cutting through brick of any kind)
In the early 20th Century Monument manufactured holesaws for plywood, specifically for holes for struts on wings of biplanes such as the Sopwith Camel. Later Monument manufactured M42 bi-metal holesaws in the UK. These included onepiece holesaws such as product codes 1848E 1849H 1850L. With increased competition and dollar price pressure, Monument ceased manufacturing its onepiece holesaws in the late 1990s.
Monument needs to ensure that its range is comprehensive to fulfil the needs of plumbing, heating and gas engineers. The Pro-Fit TCT range is probably the best hole saw system for the job of cutting through wood, chipboard and mdf.

Four Steps of the Pro-Fit System
What makes Pro-Fit the best hole saw ? Pro-Fit TCT holesaws are manufactured in Holland and have a patented quick release system.
This Click and Drill quick release system allows for quick plug ejection, a huge advantage over other holesaws.
The Pro-Fit system has the ability to Enlarge Holes and Quickly Change Diameters. The fourth part of the Pro-Fit System is that the Pro-Fit system enables holes to be drilled at Extreme Angles.
Pipe and Waste Kit
The pipe and waste kit is designed specifically for plumbers, heating and gas engineers. The six TCT holesaws sizes are 19, 27, 33, perfect for 15mm, 22mm and 28mm copper pipe. The 38, 45, 58mm TCT holesaws are perfect for 1.1/4in, 1.1/2in and 2in. waste pipe when cutting through kitchen cabinets.
The 8mm HSS Centre drill work in conjunction with the 19mm and 27mm TCT holesaws and fits other TCT holesaws up to 32mm.
The 10mm HSS Centre drill works in conjunction with the 33mm 45mm & 58mm TCT holesaws. A Transition hex / hole enlarging arbor is also included. Additionally included in the kits are three spade or flat bits of premium quality 8mm 10mm and 12mm.
The Real Chippy’s Kit
Over 700 Carpenters and Joiners helped put together the Real Chippy’s Pro-Fit Kit. We have tried to make sure that this holesaw kit is right for the work you do. The kit contains six TCT holesaws 19mm 25mm 32mm 35mm 54mm and 105mm.
There are two centre drills 8mm for up to 32mm diameter holesaws and a 10mm HSS Centre drill for sizes greater than 33mm. A hole enlarging arbor is also included. Lots of space in the case for additional holesaws.

Pro-Fit Launch in the UK
Pro-Fit was re-launched in the UK in 2017 at Toolfair by pro-fit-holesaws.co.uk and in conjunction with Expert Trades.
Monument Tools are now the UK distributor of the Pro-Fit brand.
The UK range now includes TCT holesaws including Endura, Diamond Dry Drills, Spade Bits and Jigsaw Blades. Further products are manufactured but the above only are currently available in the UK.

Q. What size centre drill do I need ?
A. The 8mm centre drill fits holesaws from 16mm to 32mm. The 10mm centre drill fits holesaws from 33mm to 330mm.
Q. What is the piece which allows me to enlarge holes ?
A. This is the Transition Hex and allows two holesaws to be fitted so the smaller holesaw is used as the centre for the larger hole.
Q. What size hole saw do I use for soffits ?
A. Use either a 70mm or 71mm. You’ll also need a 10mm centre drill.
Q. What is the best hole saw for spotlights ?
A. There is a 64mm TCT holesaw for spotlights. You will also need a 10mm HSS drill. Always check the spotlights manufacturers instructions for the recommended size of holesaw.
Q. Do you have a holesaw for extractor fans ?
A. There is a 105mm TCT holesaw. You will also need a 10mm HSS drill. Always check the extractor fans manufacturers instructions for the recommended size of holesaw.
Q. Is the a downlighter holesaw kit ?
A. We don’t have a specific kit but popular sizes for downlighters are 19mm 22mm 29mm 35mm 44mm 51mm 60mm 65mm 68mm 72mm 75mm 86mm. The 19mm 22mm 29mm need the 8mm HSS drill. TCT holesaw sizes above 33mm need the 10mm HSS drill.
Q. What holesaw sizes are available ?
A. Pro-fit offer TCT sizes from 16mm up to 330mm in diameter, all with the patented quick release Click and Drill system
Q. When cutting thru thin plywood on a [kitchen] cabinet with a painted finish, what side do I start ?
A. We suggest start on the painted side, start the drill slowly to score / mark the hole, then gradually increase speed. The break out will therefore be on the reverse / back of the plywood.
